Tho Duckenbach Sioarnshin Line, now trading between America and Now Zealand aud Australian ports, aecordin? to a. privato letter received in Sydney, haii placed orders for no fewer than eleven vessels with prominent American shipbuilding firms, and tho whole lot will bo turned out before tho end of 1918. Some of the craft will Do of 15.000 tons register, and the whole lot will be of high speed and well provided for in tho way of modern facilities for all purposes, but especially tUc prompt and expeditious handling of all lines of cargo. Tho nomes for the eleven vessels have not yet been allotted, excepting in tho oeso of the first three, which v/ill bo ready for service by tho end of tho year at latest. The first of this trio will bo known us the K. T. Luckenbach, tho second M. E. IjUßkonbacii, the third and largest Waller K I.uckenhach. BLACKBALL BOATS. Tho Himitangi, which left Punedin for the Campbell Inlands on Thursday, Jβ due back in Dunedin with, wool and sheep about Friday or 6aturday noxt. After discharging at Dunedin, the *.*epol loads general cargo, including about 4?00 cores of oil for Wellington. From Wellington, tho Himitangi goes to the Chatham Islands to lpad fish for Wellington. Tho Kiltawa, leaves Wostport at 6 p.m. to-day with a full cargo for Wellington. Tho Kaxori, which arrived at Auckland on Friday morning from Newcastle, had a very rough trip across tho Tasman Sea, and during three days of the voyage was making progress through on exceptionally heavy pale. Tho Wanaka, which arrived j at Napier tho same day, also experienced bad weather on the way across. Both j vessels were very much delayed.
