The Whangarei Magistrate's "Court to-day, Mr. Burton, S.M., presiding, concluded a sitting which commenced last Tuesday,, chiefly, concerning, a hatch of charges under the anti-treat-iiiK clauses •of the War Regulations. Three defendants—Hamblyn, Todd, and j Taylor—were fined £25 each, Mott, I a barman implicated with the other three, was -fined £10, but the amount in his case was subsequently reduced to £1 on account of hie losing his employment, haying hospital f6es to meet, and being ; fined in another case. ' Charges against two other defendants were dismissed on the ground that the constable was possibly mistaken. In several other cases judgment was reserved. CHEST COMPLAINT COMPLETELY BANISHED.
