BKAXCe TO BK FORMED IN WELLINGTON. Aβ informal meeting was held hI. ■Sir. R. X. Armst-roug's office yesterday, when a number ot Second Division Reservists met for tho purpose of discussing the advisability of forming a .Wellington Branch of the Second Division League recently Bet afoot in Dunedin. Mr. D. F. Skiimor presided. After discussion, it was decided to convene a public meeting to be held in the Concert Chamber on Tuesday Most. Tbfl following resolution was carried:—

"That •■}. public meeting be calkd for the purpose of suggesting the formation of a Second Division League in iWellington, -with tho following objects generally stated: —

"(1) The leaK'if" to b>s strictly non political.

"(2) Tho league to endeavour lo •secure adequate (pay) pensions, and allowances for all coldiers ;md their dependants. "(3) The league to endeavour to help +be Government, to carry out the provisions of the JMenc.o Act and theMilitarv Service Act."

The above are the objects of the TOiginal league formed in Dunedin, and the conveners of the Wellington raeeting are adopting them with. h. view to secure uniformity. The conveners wish to make it quite clear that their object is to bring together those Second Division Reservists who are enxioufi to help the Government in every way possible to carry out Now Zealand's part in bringing; the war to a successful conclusion, but win realise that thero are many point;, in Tegard particularly to allowances for dependants that rrquiro to be placed in an organised fashion before Government. The question of classification and medical examination before balloting also require attention. His Worship the Mayor, Mr. J. P. Luke, will be asked to take tho chair at the public meeting. Tho following are the conveners: —Messrs. Charles Allen, R. •A. Armstrong, J. V. Atkins, P. Baillie, W. Harvey, A. S. Mitchell, R, Pliinmer, D. F. Skinner, T. Smith, W. G. Talbofc, and 11. Wilson.
