STILL NO RAIN
The dry spoil continues. Tfio westerly disturbance from which rain was expected passed with decreasing force last Friday night, bringing rain only to the West Coast and the southern districts of tho South Island. Since thon unsettled and stormy conditions havo'prevailed at times in the northern, and southernmost districts, but generally the weather has been warm, fair to cloudy conditions being experienced, with moderate and variable windsPresent indications, states the official forecast, are for freshening northerly winds, with a fall in the barometer. Warm and humid conditions are to be looked for, with increasing cloudiness, and rain following in most parts of the Dominion.
