DEATH FROM BURNS. B.y Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, March 16. Mrs. Frederick lnwood, a young married woman, wlib was burned through her nightdress catching firo as the result of a spirit lamp overturning while she was preparing food for a baby, died in the hospital as the result of her injuries. HOTEL PORTER'S SUICIDE. ' Auckland, March 16.' John Arthur Buttenvorth, hotel porter, cut his throat with a razor on the roadway at Takapuna. Evidenco at' the inquest showed that ho was subject to illusions. A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned. While, crossing Lambton Qua.v near tho Midland Hotel, shortly after midday yesterday, a man named George Bechamp was knocked down by / a motor-car and received a fracturo of the left leg. The injured man was taken into the hotel, and subsequently removed io'the Hospital. It is understood that, he is a visitor from Hawke's Bay.
