Ibe Daiuiovirkp Chamber of Commerce, in. discussing tlic National Efficiency Board, considered that its solo ohje-ot 'was to study tho interests of larmors. -Members were of opinion that businesses also should bo provided for. It was decided to telegraph to tho chairman of tho board urging him to create boards to deal with the businesses of men called vp and at the war. In the event of a satisfactoryreply being received, tho Associated Chambers of Commerce will he cireukrised on the subject. VISIT TO LEVIN. .Messrs. W. H. Field, MJ.\ for plaki, and 0. A. Monk, chairman of the Horowhcntia. County Council, on behalf of tlm National' Efficiency Board, have a meeting of farmers and others interested at the Century Hall. Levin. , , on Friday, March 16, at 11.15 a.m., for the purjxiso of recommending a board of thrco trust ens for the Otaki, Horowliomia, and Manawatu districts to manage soldiers' farms, aJid generally adviso as to the position of farmer reservists who may be called up for active service, and who need assistance in connection with the winding up or management of their farms. Mr. Thomas Moss, commissioner for tho Wellington Military District, will bo present.
