ST. PATRICK'S DAY

One of tho features of tho national sports at Newtown Park next Saturday will bo tho competitive national dancing events, for which a number of entries have been received. Another popular item is the baby show. Eighty-, tour babies were presented to the judgo for adjudication last year, and it is stated that that number is likely to be exceeded. A solo singing competition will also be held. Mr. P.-.- J. Oakos, conductor of St. Gerard's choir, will judge this event. The spectacular display and organised games by some 300 boys promise to be full of interest.

In the- evening, at the Town Hall, in addition to Mr. Fred. G. Bourke, the Auckland baritone, and Mrs. A.' Aniera Powers, the Dunedin operatio contralto, there will appear Misses Teresa M'Enroe, Agnes Rose Segrief, Barry and Mary M'Keowen (vocalists'), Lily O'Leary (dancing), Messrs. Kevin, Dillon, S. Laslett Exton, George Holloway, and others. Tho box plan opens at the Bristol this morning.
