SOLDIERS' GRAVES.
BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S OFFER. It was announced by cablegram si few days ago that the Britisli Government would ranko itself responsible for. tlio burial of Now Zealand soldiers in England, an<l for tlio care of their graves afterwards. Following is the text of tlio official telegram received by His Excellency tho Governor from the Secretary of State tur'the Colonics on tho subject:— "Please inform your Ministers His Majesty's Government have decided that all Dominion officers and _ men dying in this country shall he buried at expense of Imperial Government in singlo graves.' Land required for this purpose will bo acquired in peipotuity at cost of Imperial Army fluids, and all possible caro will be taken of tlio graves. Am confident it will bo the ■unanimous wish of everyone in this country that His Majesty's Government shoud bo privileged to undertake this chargc, and ensure that the last resting place of these Dominion sellers _ may not bo unworthy of their sacrifices and of tho cause for which they gave their lives. —(Signed) Long."
