WHEAT AND OATS
Estimates of average yields of wheat and oats are published in, the February Abstract of Statistics. Compared with the actual yields for 1315-16 (given in parentheses) the estimates are:— Wheat, average per acre: 25.15 bushels (21.59), total for .Dominion, 5,400,000 bushels (7,108,360); oats; average per acre, 30.88 bushels (35.98), total for Dominion, 5,600.000 bushels (7,653,208). Returns from thrashing-mill owners of actual thrashings for tho month of January give tho following information .-—Wheal, average per acre, 22.63 bushels; oats, average per acre, 29.71 biißhels,
