A very attractive programme has been issued, and is at present hebiK circularised among tho members of tho Y.W.C.A., sotting forth tho various activities for tho autumn and winter sessions. Tho classes inoludo dressmaking, millinery, physical culture, shorthand and speed, first aid aril coaching. Tho coaching class is intended to preparo girls for advancement in Government offices, telegraph offices, and hospital nursing. Girls aro enrolling for these classes which open this week and next. Tho programme also plans for lectures by doctors and others, debates by tho girls themselves, and there aro a number of clubs which proyido for tho all-round development of different groups ■ol girls according to their need. Bible study and evangelistic meetings aro specially emphasised. Amongst tho privileges of membership aro tho use of rest and club room, lunch room, educational classes aud clubs, circulating library, and physical culture. Introduction to other associations, opportunities for friendship, BibJo and mission study circles, personal advice, aud training in social service The Lyric Club of tho Y.W.C.A. holds its opening mooting next Monday evening, when Mr. F. S. Pope, conductor of tho club, and members of committee will bo present.. Mrs. .Kerry, Mrs. Bennie, Miss Chapman, and others will iako part in providing a musical programme, and it is hoped that a largo number of moinbers and their friends i will he present. ; Mrs. Tailor, 8.A., will speak at tbo I service in tho Y.W.C.A. Clubrooms, I Herborfc Street, at 4.15 to-morrow. Tho subjoct will bo Y.W.O.A. work in Japan. Young women and girls aro invited to attend this sorvico and to stay to tho tea, and social hour folI lowing.
