FEDERAL- GOVERNMENT WILL NOT SANCTION INCREASE; Melbourne, March 9. In the House of 'Representatives Mr., Hughes stated that tho Government was not prepared to raise tho price of sugar, but would give the industry all tho profits, charging, only offico expenses of tho Govornmoni mnnngors, which means that the growers receive £22 7s. per ton for raw sugar for-tho period of the war and a season thereafter.
