The Kakapo will move- to Mirainar this morning to continue the discharge of her cool, and will sail for Greymouth on Saturday. The Kaituna is expected to sail for Westport at noon to-day, and tlio Kittawa also is expected to sail to-day for Westport. The Kamo should soil for Greymouth on Saturday, and the Kokiri is to sail for Westport on Saturday. The Kamona, which has been discharging limber and coal, is expected to sail for Napier to-day to complete discharge The Ngakuta came- ofT/tho Patent Slip yesterday afternoon, and| sailed for Greymouth. After the Wnirali leaves tho Blip this morning the Ngahcro will go up on tho cradle for overhaul, which should last about a week.

TAIXUI FQR PICTOJf. Tho coastal vessel Tuimii, which arrived from Wanganui lust night brought a cargo of fallow. It was originally intended that tho vessel should sail on tho rjturn trip to-night, but it has been decided to dispateh hot- for Picton direct at 5 p.m. to-day. THE ir.ONOWAI. Owing- to a heavy outward ba.rgo, tho Monowai did not leave Auckland until 15.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The vessel is due hero on Saturday, and -will discharge 189 tons of cargo. She- will sail tho same: qay at noon for Dunedin direct. Tho wssel is duo at Wellington on the return trip on March 15, and will sail in the evening for northern ports. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. Kobert Inncs has joined the John as chief engineer in place of Mr. H. Holm, who 13 going into camp. Mr. J: A. Owen has signed on the Kikau as chief engineer. Mi-. G. D. Corby, late second officer on the Monowai, has joined tho Kowhai as chief officer, relieving Mr. Hell, -who comes nshore to sit for examination for a master's certificate. PRESIDENT OP THE WATERSIDE WORKERS. The election of a president of the Wellington Waterside Workers' Union to fill the vacancy caused by tho resignation of Mr. P. Curtico was held on Wednesday and yesterday. There were only two nominations—Mr. Lewis Glover (vice-president) and Mr. Alfred Agnew. The result gave a majority of 187 votes to Mr. Glover, -who was elected. Tho figures were:-Glover, 343; Agnew, 156; informal, 1. Mr. IT. H. Simmoiids was the returning officer.
