SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

6 The seamen in port were treated to a concert at the Sailors' Friend Society last night. Mr. Moore (missioner) was in tho chair. Ho referred to the wonderful changes in the work, some 800 men having left port since the last concert. The short-story competition afforded much merriment. Prizes were donated by friends of the work. The performers were:—The Misses Dodds, Barsman, Julian (2), and Cooley, and Messrs. J. Searle, Walker, O'Eilley, H. Wright (s.s. Glaucus), N. Cohen; Miss Dodds was at the piano.
