SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON

PINAL LECTURE IN WELLINGTON. Sir Ernest Shackleton, who is about to leave New Zealand; will, deliver a final lecture regarding his recent Antarctic travels in the Wellington Town Hall this_ evening. He will describe his experiences in the Weddel Sea, where the Endurance was crushed by the ice; the long drift on an ice flow, the landing on Elephant Island, and the wonderful boat journey, to South Georgia. The lecture will be illustrated with lantern slides from photographs taken in the course of the expeditions. _ This will be Sir Ernest< Shackle-ton's last lecture in New Zealand, and so will bo the final opportunity of hearing the explorer and seeing his remarkable pictures. The proceeds of the lecture are to be divided between the Red Cross and the, fund in aid of the widow of Captain Mackintosh.
