GISBORNE CARGO. Messrs. Johnston and Go. announced yestpr'day that owing to t.ho great amount, of cargo for Gisborno that was being received fhey had decided to stop, for the meantime, receiving for that port. The cargo taken by the. Tiipplo on her, last trips was mainly consigned to Gishorue. The amount, offering at uresont is very large, and they are unable, to cope' with il, without injustice to consignments to I lie smaller ports of call. Tho Koulunni, which tailed lost evening, took a full cargo for (lisbornc. Tho Ripple, which Is timed to sail for Napier and Akitio at noon to-day, vrill receive cargo this morning. After discharge of part of her cargo the Ganopus will take the hulk Hannah Nicholson in tow for Wellington. THE OSAKA SHOSEN KAISHA. 'i'ho Osaka Shoseu Kaisha, of Osaka., has, says an exchange, arranged to commence a new service from Japanese ports to South Africa. Buenos Aires, and Itio, returning by the same route. The service if intended to bo monthly, and if euflicient inducement offers further lonnago will be placed upon the berth. The. The John is due to-day from Waugnjiui, and is einected to sail to-morrow morning for Dunedin and 'IHmaru. Cargo for these ports will bo received to-da.y.
Messrs. Cathie. Dempster and Co.. local agents of the scow Enntee, expect that tho vessel will be loading at, Timaru on March 13 for Wellington and Wanganui. •For many months the Rothesay Bay has been on the list of sailing vessels exoecUMl at Auckland from Australia, but no advice of her sailing camo to hand. It now transpires. that when she had partly loaded she was detained by tho Marine Department at Melbourne, and a, new mast and other retittings were ordered. The work was taken in and consequently the sailer was delayed. Tho Auckland agents now state that, she should *ail for Auckland from Melbourne in about a week's time.
The »\gakuta went on the Patent Slip, yesterday afternoon for cleaning and painting. She is expected to be off in time to sail to-night for Grcymouth to load for Tokomaru Bay and Napier.
The Orepaki is scheduled to sail this afternoon for H'elson'and Nydin. Bay. She is expected ta return to Wellington on or about Monday nctf..
The Karu is oipectcd to sail for "New Plymouth at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Cargo wiU bo received until noon. Tho Mih'owh! has been delayed at Auclsland, end now 'will not sail until this afternoon, one day late. She is due here on Saturday, and. will sail tho 6anie day for southern poi'tfi. The Kiuuona sailed from Oreymonth at 8 a.m. yesterday for Wellington. The vessel will berth at Clyde Quay Wharf to discharge 52,008 feet ot timber. She has a part cargo of coal for Napici.
Tho Kitlawa left W'ejlport at 6.30 a.m. vesterday with coal for Wellington, and on arrival will berth at the Railway Wharf. Tho Kauri sailed at 4.30 p.m. yesterday for Westoort to load for Auckland. The Kokiri, with a full csri.-:) of coal, was to hove sailed from Weitport last uiaht for Wcllinzton.
