WAR RELIEF
THE WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. The executive of the. War Relief Association of Wellington met yesterday. •Mr. L. 0. H. Tripp presided. It was resolved to continue the allowance of £10 a month to the Salvation Army Soldiers' Institute at Rotorua. . i ! Tho transfer of £1000 to the imprest account for March was authorised. It was reported that since the last ■meeting of the executive the Relief Committeo had mot on six occasions, and had dealt with 140 applications. Application was made for a contribution toward a billiard table for Otaki Sanitoriiim, where returned men are now quartered. A grant of £20 was made. The. Wellington Hospital Board notified that tho dependants of soldiers would bo. granted free dental treatment if-recommended by tho War Relief Association. It was reported that the following contributions had boon received since last, mooting of the executive:—Wellington Savage Club (balance from ladies' evenina), £] 10s.; Wellineton College, £100; Hillside Tenuis Club, £L 10s.; part proceeds bowling tournament, £300: total, £403.
