THE WAIWETU CLUB. 'J.'ho annual meeting of tho Waiwelu Golf Club wns held at Mr. R. C. Kirk's residence, Petoue. on Tuesday evening. Sixteen members were present. Mr.. B. C. lurk was in the chair. The chuirman, in moving tho adoption of tho report and balance-sheet (particulars of which have already appeared), referred to the fact tnat out of a membership of 70 men, 28 wore 011 active service. He also referred to tho valuable work done by tho lion, treasurer, Mr. 0. F. Judd) during tho past three seasons. The report and bal-ftnee-eheet were adopted, a hearty vote or thanks being accorded to the hon. treasurer for his services. The following officers were elected for the present season:-Presidont, Mr. It. C. Kirk; captain, Mr. G. F. Judd; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. A. Wilkes; committee, Messrs. J. M. Dawson, E. L. Townsoml, A. J. Hobbs, L. Powell, A. H. Hancock; Pon. auditor, Mr. A. H. Collett. It was decided to open the eeason on March 81. A vote of thanks was accorded to the Hutt Park caretaker (Mr. J. W. List) for nis efforts in improving the links. A vote of thanks was also passed to the donors of. prize 6, to tho retiring officers, and to the chairman.
