• MORTALITY FIGURES LOW. (Reo. February 27, 6 p.m.) > London, February 26. In view of the persistent rumours that tho official statement of the deathroll _ at the recent munitions explosion in London was inaccurate, the Coroner who conducted- the inquest has reiterated his statement of the actual number-of deaths—sevsnty-four—which exactly corresponds with the Government's ' figures previously announced. The Coroner pointed out the remarkable lowness of the mortality in view of the wrecking of eight hundred*! homes, with a population of over two thousand.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
