Sir Douglas Haig reports: "Our advance on tlie Auere has been maintained. It extends over eleven miles of front from.a point eastward of Guedecourfc to a point southward of Gommecourt, and to a depth of two miles. London, February 26. Wireless per' Admiralty Press.—!A! German official report states: French attacks were unsuccessful southward of Cernay, in Alsace. The enemy yesterday lost eight aeroplanes. Wo brought down a French airship ablaze near Metz. Her cargo of bombs exploded when she touched the ground and her crew of fourteen were killed.
