' . , The South Wairarapa Trotting Club held its annual meeting on Saturday night. All the officers wero re-elected. The receipts last year from all equrces totalled .£l7lO ss. Bd. (.£4OO being insurance money). The stakes paid out were ,£SOO, and it was decided to keep the stakes at that amount till the war is over, all net surplus to go to patriotic funds. The grandstand was reerected, and numerous repairs made to other buildings and the fences. It is intended to have the services of a ' stipendiary steward this season. Votes of thanks wero passed to all the last year's officers.
