MINERS AND MINE-OWNERS
CONFERENCE STILL UNFINISHED. Mine-owners and representatives of ! the Coal-miners' Federated Unions have been sitting in Wellington for three days discussing claims by the workers for concessions in conditions and pay. The conference is not even yet- concluded. The parties are to meet again this morning, but it is probable that to-day will see the end of. these very delicate and very strenuous negotiations.
