CONVICTION RECORDED. Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., delivered reserved judgment in the Magistrate's Court yesterday in the caso against Victor Edgar Segal, jewellery importer and retailer, who was charged with applying a false trade description to good's, viz., "Stirling silver plate salts," and selling the same.' The hearing of the case was concluded on Tuesday last. ■. He then asked for solicitor's costs, to which Mr. 0. C. Mazengarb objected, holding that such costs were not justified, in view of the fact that the 'Jewell ars' Association could have' accomplished their purpose by writing to Seiial lr.s attention "to the illegality of the matter- ..„, , .
