YESTERDAY'S SESSIONS

" The confereuce of tho Methodist Church in New Zealand was resumed in the Wesley Church yesterday morning. Tho Ilc|'. W. A. Sinclair prosided. The conference endorsed the action of the president in arranging for several cirouits in South-' Auckland, disfranchised owing to the war, to havo representation. ' ' The following were elected lay representatives on tho Stationing Committee:; —Auckland, Messrs. Tyler, Watkinson, and J- Vealo; South Auckland, Messrs. W. Richards and G. 11. Gilling; Taranaki-Wanganui, Messrs. E. Dixon and J. T. Griffen; Uawko's Bay-' Manawatu, Messrs. Cuunold and Oldham; Wellington, Messrs. W. E. Itidston and C. Linneberg; Nelson, Messrs. W. D. Pike and Bell; North Canterbury, Messrs. H. Buttlo and W- Seed; South Canterbury, Messrs. Cleverton and F. Frampton; Otago, Messrs. E. Rosencaves and J. Dawson; Southland, Messrs. Froggatt and J. J. Wisnoy. The following are tho District Chairmen and representatives:—Auckland, Revs. C. H. Garland and C. H. Laws, 8.A.; South Auckland, Bevs. S. J. Serpell and P. J. Cossum; Taranaki-Wanganni, Rovsi T. G. Hammond arid 8.. B. Tinsley ; Hawke's Bay-Manawatu, Bevs. D. J. Murray and P. W. Boys; Wellington, Revs. J. G. Chapman and W. Beckett; Nelson, Revs. W. Baumber and B. I'. Rothwell; North Canterbury, Eovs. A. O. Lawry »and J. Cocker; South Canterbury, Revs. T. A. Joughin and W. J. Oxbrow; Olago, Rev's. S. Griffith and W. A. Hay; Southland, Revs. W. Ready and S. Bailey.

Applications for extended appointments were read from the following circuits :—Taranaki Street, (Rev. J. G.. Chapman,-7th year); Christchuroh East (Rev. W. A. Sinclair, 6th year); Nelson (Rov. W. Baumber, 6th year). The applications were referred to a special committee. The conference wont into committee for the remain.der of the day. Business will he resumed to-day at 9,30.
