Auckland, February 22. At the Industrial Corporation Conference a paper on "The Utilisation of Waste Products" was read by Profossor TVorley, and it was resolved that the subject.be included in the representations to the Industrial Efficiency Board, also that a closer union of scientists and manufacturers is of the utmost importance, and that it be a direction to competent associations to consider the question of having a scientific libarry in the four centres. Mr. O. A. Wilson read a paper on "Advertising in Relation to Manufacture," anil the conference resolved to recommend its menibors to brand their products with their own name. Mr. T. Ballingcr read a paper on "Apprentices and Technical Education," and it was resolved that the Government be urged to make provision that boys and girls leaving school ho enabled and' compelled to attend continuation tecchnical classes up to the ago of IG.
