OUR BLINDED SOLDIERS
A GENEROUS. GIFT. . Sir, —My brother and I wish to mako a donation of £100 towards any Now Zealand soldiers who liavc been blinded or partially blinded in the war. On making inquiries wo find that these oases aro being kept in England, and trained there. Possibly tlio best thing to do would bo to send tho money to St. Dunstan's, London, earmarked for the above spccial purpose. Among tho many sad and terrible troubles this war has caused, probably none aro so sad or"so terrible as tho unfortunate, man who finds himself suddenly blind for life; and so we feel anything that can ameliorate or clicer him in any way is money well and charitably spent. Doubtless the very fact of people contributing something 'towards him will prove to him t.hoy aro thinking of him, which in itself will help him to boar bis -troublo bravely.
'Among the bewildering variety and number of appeals that are before the public just now, it seems almost impossible ,to decide what is tho best to give to; but perhaps there are among jour renders somo who would like to contributo to the above cause. We thereforo ask you to publish this letter, and later forward the money as desired. Wo encloso our cheque for £100. —Wo arc, eto., WILSON BROS. Bulls, February 16. [We sliall be glad to receive any further subscriptions for the very commendable purpose specified bv Messrs. Wilson Bros.]
