FINANCING RUSSIA'S MUNITIOMMENT
HUGE CONTRACT NEGOTIATED. New February 19. Terms for financing a huge munition contract with Russia havo been settled. The Bethlehem Steel Company is placing fifty million dollars worth of its own securities "with trust companies. Mr. Schwab says, that tho' Bethlehem notes are secured by the Treasury, its assets, and British 'short 1 term-notes. He regards British - short term bonds as equal to gold. GOOD RESULTSLFROM RECENT ■ ALLIED" CdNFERENCE. Paris, February 19. The Petrograd correspondent of the "Petit Parisien" states that Lord Milner, in an interview, said that one of the .immediate results of the Allied Conference would ho tho appointment, of Military and Naval Committees to regulate the provisioning of- Russia' 6 \ armios and to secure the co-operation • of British and French specialists.
