POST AND TELEGRAPH PICNIC
In view of tho number of bodies which proposed holding- theii- picnics nt the same timo at Day's Bay, the officers of the Post and Telegraph Department elected in favour of Muritai, and held their annual picnic at Muritai Park. ■ After luncheon field events Trcro held, tie ladies entering into (ho spirit of the sport with great zest. Tho ladies of tho Telegraph Learners' School contested for their championship,' Miss Itoberta securing tho honour, with Miss Nolsoa as runner-up. The Q.P.O. cadets' 100 yards championship resulted as follows:—Cadets Harbicon 1, Catley 2. The programme was a very' varied one, and included tho ransual itefris of a ladies' sack race and a ladies' threelejrjred race. The courtesy of tho iluritai Bowling Club in extending an invitatftVl to bowlers of the G.P.O. to play on their green was very imioh appreciated.
