Bowlers are taking a good deal of interest in the Carterton versus Masterton match, to he contested on the Mastertoh green on Saturday next, as it will decide the holders of the ehield. Carterton proved victorious by a substantial margin when these clubs last met. Tlip .northern team on this occasion will 1)0 playing on own green, ivith entirely a new combination, arid are very hopeful of success. The Mastorton rinks will ho:—Hoskings, Hope, H.
