POSITION IN GREECE DISQUIETING
ARMS SURRENDER DECREE NOT OBEYED /Roc. February 19, 10.30 p.m.) London, February 19. Writing from Athens, Mr. Jeffries says: "The position in Greece is disquieting. Eighty thousand rifles havo been received from tho army, but none from tho civilians, despite tho Government's decree. Tho civilians' weapons are boyond calculation. During November arms woro delivered in tho streets like handbills. Tho want of information regarding these arms provonts tho formulation of definite demands, tho fulfilment of which will lead to tho raising of the blockade. Tho Greek General Staff is apparently trying to mine tho Corinth Canal, and indulging in obvious military deceits."—United Service. '<
