Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having a very good entry of sheep and a small entry of cattlo at their Palmerston North sale on Thursday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:—At Eketahuna on Friday wo had a very failentry of sheep, which we submitted, io a good attendance of buyers. Competition was fairly keen, and with the exception of one small pen of owes wo made a total clearance under the hammer at the following rates:—Two-tooth to 5-year ewes, 355. 6d.; aged ewes, 14s. to 205.; good shorn wether lambs, 20s. 7d.; do. ewe lambs 205.; cull lambs, 9s. 6d.; fat -heifers, £10 7s. 6d.; store cows, £7 175.; S.B. rams. 2 guineas.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company report that at their Pahautamii sale on Friday they offered a. good yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. Prices were considerably easier, and tho salo was inclined to drag, especially in tho case of tho older ewes penned. They quote:—2tooth wethers, to 30b.; 2-tooth ewes, 285.; 4 and 5-ycar ewes, 225.; f.m. ewes, 205.. 6d. to 21s. 6d.; cull ewes, 16s. 6d.; woolly lambs, 18s. 6d. to 18s. 10d.; 6niall woolly lambs, 12s. Id.; cull lambs, Bs. 6d.; empty heifers-yearlings, £5 12s. 6d.; 1J years, £6 165.; 2J years, £7 55.; weaners, £2 55.; young bulls,'£4 10s. to £6 12s. 6d.

"TABLELANDS" SALE. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., aud tho Wairorapa Parmeifs' Association, Ltd., in conjunction, report on the "Tablelands" salo held on Saturday as under:—The vendors yarded slightly in excess of advertised numbers, the actual number being 10,320. The whole of the stock was drafted and yarded for public Inspection at 10.45 a.m.. tho sale- starting at noon punctually. Tho yarding comprised mainly straight station lines of

breeding ewes, large-boned and good woolled roomy sheep, which made lull market rates. Buyers showed an incluiution to hold off somewhat at the commencement of the sale, apparently anticipating extreme prices. Taken as a, whole, however, 0.. most satisfactory sale hat, to be reported, the prices realised coming well up to vendors' expectations. The following were the principal sales:— Tablelands: 333 two-tooth Lincoln ewes. £2 Os. 6d.; 279 Komney ewes. c6s.; 799 4-tooth ewes, 345. 4d.; 226 6-tooth ewes, 40s.
