AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT. (Ree. February 16, 6.25 p.m.) London, February 15. Mr. R. E. Prothero, Minister for Agriculture, speaking at Birmingham, said the statement to be made'by Mr. Lloyd George on Monday, which would be of the most momentous character, would convince the country tliat the Government regarded agriculture as one of the most essential, if not the most essential industry, at present.— Aus.-N.Z.
