Force Reserve was given bv Sir James Alien, yesterday. ■ • ■ The Minister said that the classification of the Second Division was at present under consideration. It could •do taken that the-basis of'classification ' would be, the number of,.a. man's family, hut he thought. it .might bo possible to take account also of other dependants' besides .wife and children. He had .wished before the ballots began that the First Division, should be classified according to men's dependants, but on examination of this proposal it .was.found that^it woidfl be a matter .of the greatest, difficulty,, perhaps of impossibility, to .discover, .who were a single.man's dependants'.
