Tho engineer stated that a test of the pressure had been made on the Porirua Road, and there was no variation, He did nob think the meter was inaccurate, still he thought it would be advisable to have another test mado of the meter. It was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the engineer to deal with, and. lie was authorised to take all" steps to discover the cause of tho leakage.' Tho Mayor directed attention to the gorso nuisance in tlio borough, and stated that there were about six or seven acres of gorse which was very thick in certain localities. It would bo too expensive to grub it out, lutthe council should see that it is cut out. This work was authorised.
