LIVE STOCK SALES Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co Ltd., report on their sale, held at Masterton as follows :-Ther© was a very large yarding of sheep, our entry comprising no fewer than 4901. A large attendance of Buyers present were operating very freely, and there was a good demand for all classes of sheep. Included in our entry was a, good lino of ewes from Erl Williams s Mamaku. Station, the 5-year realising 345.; 6-tooth, 38s. 2(1. : and 2-tooth. 365. Bd. Another large lino of black-face lambs from Waihi station realised 20s. and 19s. 6d. HARTINBOROUGH EWE FAIR. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a most successful ewo fair at Martrnborough on February 13. There was a largo yarding of sheep, and competition for good lines was keen, practically a total clearance being made under the hammer. Included in the entry were drafts of 4 and 5-year ewes from the Hock of Mr. John MTieod, of "Whakapuni," *?":? topped the sale at the price of 445. 3d. and 40s. 3d. respectively. A line of 4-tooth ewes, on account of the 6 Vn «?*' lealiscd toe satisfactory price ol 435. 9d., and a line of 5-year-old ewes on account of Mr. Murdoch M'Leod, sold at the satisfactory figure of 355. Following are some of the prices realised — Four-year ewes, 445. 3d.; 4-tooth ewes, 43s 9d. ; 5-year ewes, 355., 40s. 3d.; fat wethers, 385.; forward ewes, 335. Bd.; mixed aeo CTes, 19s. 9d„ 20s. 3d., 265.; b.f. lambs, 16s.
