The homo has been fitted "with hot-water' radiators, and is lit throughout -with petrol gas, supplied by an engine which occupies a spaco of about 4 feet square in a separate- shed. As only 5 per cent, of pure' gas is required to produce a perfect illuminating gas (34 points of 40 caudle-power each -'are provided), tho modum is both efficient rind economical.

All that is now needed is for somo philanthropic persons to endow the institution in order to moot tho expense of its upkeep.
