FREEZING HANDS ON STRIKE
IN AUCKLAND DISTRICT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, February 15. About 40 freezing chamber liands employed by the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company and the AVestfield Freezing Company, at the Southdown and tho Tlorotiu works of the former and at tho AVostfield works of the latter, are on strike. The men recently submitted demands as a basis for tho new agreement, representing wages. These the employers considered unreasonable, as" they are already paying more than is paid for tho samo work in other parts of tho Dominion.
