The Town Kail, public libraries, and lighting offices (Harris Street) ivill be closed on Friday for the corporation staff anniial picnic. The libraries will re-open at 7 p.m. Kiss G. M. Campbell, 122 a Coromandel Street, will commence her fifth class of dancing, deportment, and elocution on March 5. Miss Campbell will be at home on Tuesday and Thursday on and after February 20. Messrs. J. T. Horn, Ltd., Panama Street, advertises for sale an orchard of 2!) acres at Stoke, Nelson. The present crops are reported to be avraging up to ten cases per tree. There are two houses on the property, besides packingshede .stables, motor-shed, cool store, etc. /Further particulars will be given on appljcation to tlie agent. Nurse Cable, who is leaving for Serbia, baa instructed Messrs. E. .Tohnstone and Co. to auction the conteute of her nineroomed residence, ill Ellice Street, and the sole will take place this afternoon at 1.15 o'clock. Second-hand biiildin? material and 300 sheets of iron will be sold by auction at llfi Cnba Street at 10.30 o'clock to-mor-row morning. Messrs. E.' Johnston and Co. are the auctioneers.
