, THE WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. ' The' monthly meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association Executive was held last evening, and was presided over by Mr. O. G. Wilson.' Members present were:: Messrs. M. Crombie, • J. D. Howitt, Jl'Kcnzie, F. J. O'Driscoll. and F. Midlanc. . The question arose whether' a player who -had -been a member of- the Treu- - tliam team (noiv withdrawn from .tlie championship contest) had been right in playing'for Petone'on Saturday last. TKo chairman said: that Pet-one inquired of hirii regarding the matter: before the match, and lie had replied that the man in question was nob entitled to play. In the, face of this, Petone had put the man in. : ' It was decided to invite Petone -to submit'an explanation of their action. A special meeting .to consider the matter will be held on Tuesday.
