WAR LECTURE

Mr. T, M. Wilford, M."l\, will give a war lecture at the Town Hiill. this evening in connection with the Dominion .Pally of the National Reserve. I'acts and details of the war will be outlined b.V speaker. The peace proposals, tlio failures of Von Hiudenburg, Clerroany's peril in Rumania, and the elt'ect of the opening of the Murman railway on the end ol' the war—these subjects, among others, will be dealt with bv Mr. Wilford. The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) will preside, and there will be in attendance also Consuls for Britain's Allies resident in New Zealand; members of the National Reserve, and the Defence Department, ete. Madame Anderson will render several patriotic vocal items, and the Wellington Tramways Military Band will give a number of selections.
