ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
At the inquest on tho body of Samuel Lintern, who was found dead at Korokoro, Pctone, last Friday, Mr. W. G. Riddell, Coroner, returned the following verdict:—"That deceased died from the effects of a bullet wound, self-in-flicted." Linteru had left a note which stated: "I can bear the pain no longer. Look after mother. Good-bye." BATHING FATALITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hastings, February 12. Frank' W. Watson, farmer and stock dealer, a resident on tho Karaina Road, aged 50 years, was drowned while bathing at Wairaarama yesterday. D. A. Graham and S. W. Waters vainly attempted a toscub. They reached the shoro oxbausted." Mrs. Watson and many others witnessed the fatality, but were powerless to help. DETERMINED SUICIDE. Auckland, February 12. 'Annie- Raddeker, a married woman, committed suicide at Epsom last evening. She was found by her husband hanging by a piece of rope tied to a bed post. Sho had previously attempted suicide by taking poison.
