The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report on their Mostcrton eale yesterday:— We yarded a heavy yarding of ewes, wethers, and lambs, which met with keen competition - from a good, attendance of buyers. ■ A total clearance was made at "the following prices Two-tooth ewes, iOs.; 4-tooth to f.m. ewes, S9e. to 315.; 4 and 5-year ewes, light condition. -255. 6d. to 2to. 4d.; fat wethers, 365.; fat ewes, 355. 2d.; 2-tooth: wothers, 30s. 6d. to 325,: rape lambs, 19s. lOd. to 21s. - lid.; "shorn wether lambs, 16s. 7d. to 19s. 10d.; medium b.f. lambs, 15s. to 165.; small lambs, lis. Messrs. Wright. Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report -on tlieir weekly sale, held at the Colombo Road yards, yesterday, n-s follows:—We had a very big yarding of Sheep, and effected a total clearance at the following prices :—2. 4, and 6-tooth ewes, at 355. to 355. 9d.; 6 and 8-tooth ewes, at 30s. to 355. 4d.; 5-year-old ewes, 30s. lid., 365. Id. to 375.; rape lambs, 18s. 6d. fat wethers, 365. Bd. t .The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At I'almerston North on Thursday we had a fair yarding, and sold most of our entry at the following rates —Aged ewes, 15s. to 205.; good woolly lambs, 19s. 9d.; mixed lambs, 165.; weancr steci'3, £3 55.; 18-month steers, £7 ss. 6d.; heifers in calf, £5 55., £5 155., £6 55.; store cows, £5 195., £6 10s.: light fat.cows, £9 175.; 3-vear steers, £10, £11. £12; dairy cows, £9 55.; bulls, £6 10s.. £8 10s.. £9 £s„ £10. T . : . Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held the fortnightly sale in their Upper Hut* yards on Thursday, when thev offered to a. large attendance of local and outside buyers a heavy yarding of sheep and a medium entry of cattle. Competition, especially for sheep, wae keen, and when compared with to© previous sale, prices all round showed a hardening tendency. Out of our larse cntrv only one small pen of wothers went out unsold, all other lots being disposed of under the hammer. We also offeTed, on account of some local breeders, a number of Bomuey rams, the. entry ,on account of Messrs. Liddle Bros, being an . especially good one, two of these sheep bringing 183 guineas, the balance of' the. line of M selling at from. 7 to 83 guineas. Cattle: These were a little sjow of sale but vendors were more prepared to meet the market, allowing a, cloarance. to. be made under the hammer. The principal sales were as under:—6-tooth to 4-year ewes, 335. 3d.; 4 and 5-year-old ewes, 255. 9d to 275. 2d.; broken-mouthed ewes. 19s. Id to 215.; forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers, 345. 2d.: forward ewes, 305.: 2-tnoth wethers, 29s 295. 7d., '30s. 6d.. 3is. 3d.; forward woolly lambs, S£s. 4d.; modium woolly lambs, 15s. to 19a. 7d.; cnll lambs, 10s, to 12s. 4<1.; 2-tooth liomney rams (medium Quality.) 4to 51 guineas. Cattle: JJ-year-old bullocks. £14; 25-year-old steers, £10 5s to £11; bulls. £4 1«. to £9 10s.; fat cows, light, £10 to £11 145.; springinK heifers, £7 ss. to £8 15s. A small herd of cows offered 011 account of Mr. u. Darncll sold from £9 15s. to £13 Ze. 6d.
