On the motion of Mr. O. J{. Smith a' resolution expressing appreciation of the work done in masterton was passed' unanimously. It was reported :that Mr.C. It was decided to ask Mrs. Hall Thompson to join the ".Taliher prize sub-conimittce. Tho hon. treasurer of tho league/ Mr. It. Darroch, reported on the Navy League Fund as follows:—Iu fesiious'e to the rcciuest made to the schools in. tho Wellington provincial district io take up a Id. collection for tho purpose of providing an outing for tho boys on the battle-cruiser New Zealand, the sum of £24 3s. 3d. has been raised. The following amounts have bsen received for tho Sailors. , Comforts Fund: —Eov. 0. S. Pearn, £11; Anti-German League, 10s.; "Anonymous," 10s.; refund from Sailors' Dependants' Fund. £25 11s. 3d.: total, £37 Is. 3d. ■ The following additional contributions havo como to hand sinco the la-st meeting of the committee for tho Sailors' Dependants' Fund:—Patea and District Patriotic League, £87; Paraparaumu district, £30 ss.
