ARREST OF SOLDIERS
OFFENCES UNDER THE ARMY AOT. The War Regulations contain the following provisions relating to the arrest aliens) "If an authorised officer (within the meaning of the Military Service Act,. 1916) has reasonable causo to suspect thai ft soldier of the Now Zealand Expeditionary Force has committed, whether before or after the making ; of these regulations, any ofEenee for which he is liable to he tried and punished under the Army Act, such authorised officer may issue to an officer of police his warrant for the arrest of that soldier. . "Evory such warrant may be addressed "to all constables, and_ shall be sufficient if it purports' to bo issued in pursuance ol ! the Army Act. "Every such .warrant may be executed by any constable, whether the warrant has been delivered to him ot not. and on any day of the week. ''Every soldier so arrested shall ho delivered into military custody in accordance with the tenor nf the warrant."
