SWIMMING
-.;■ ISLAND BAY SURE.CLUB. The Island Bay. Swimming Club held their third Saturday swimming events for tho cups presented by tho president of the club, Mr. W. H. CoVj for the men ; and by Mr. A. Laurensou for lvomen. The cups aro to bo won on points, and there is a trophy for each event. The club is coniininc its efforts to life-saving events. Tho ladies' portion of the club is in a flourishing condition and is beinE instructed in lifesaving by tho superintendent. The club' is working up a gala for hoys and girls, which is to he held in. about three weeks. Tho principal event next Saturday will bo the club chamraonship. , The results of Saturdays faces were:— ■ - Ladies' Diviug— Miss K. Skinner, 1; Mrs. F. Jones, 2; Mrs. F. Lord, ,3.
