The Wairafapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., report on their Pahiotua. stook sale as follows:—We offered a large yarding of eheep and small entry of cattle. Owing to the" operation of an outside buyer in Hawko's Bay there was more life in the sale than the previous week, and with the exception of one pen of ewes, we effected a total clearance at very satisfactory prices, considering the etate of the weather. By Tolograph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 31. At Burnside to-day, 199 fat cattlo wero yarded, a large being .cows and heifers, and the balance fttaprising very nice quality bullocks. Freezing buyers operated sparingly, aud as tho entry exceeded requirements prices receded 10s. 'to 15s. Beet bullocks, £17 10s., £18 155,; extra, £20; medium to good, £15, £18 155.; light, £12 10s., £14 103.; Belt cows and heifers, £13 10s., £16; extra, £llr medium to food, £11 10s., £13; light, £9 1C&, £10 10s. Sheep (2110 .penned).—The quality ■was good. Competition by exporters was keen, and a good tfale resulted at last week's rates. Prices for', heavy pigs wero considerably easier, but lighter Eorts sold -well at lato rates. Stores realised lat-o rates. ' ADDINGTON MARKET. Chrlstchurch, January 31. At Addington Market to-day the yarding of fat cattle was smaller than last week, but there were larger offerings of fat lambs and fat sheep. Store eheep, of which the bulk were lambs, also, found a large yarding and. there was a good entry of , store cattle. Fat cattlo opened easier, but reoovored towards the end of the s«Jo, and tho 6amo course ch;u\ acterised the fat lamb market, which was down. Is. to Iβ. 6d. per head at commencement of Bale but was better nt the cloeo. Fat sheep also opened a.' little higher, but firmed up to last week's rates, and in same coses even, higher. Storo sheep met with a good eale for forward /sorts, and for the bettor classes of eves, but backward and ieferior descriptions wero easier. Store cattle Bold well.
