ENLISTMENT OF CLERGY
REFUSED BY THE BISHOPS. Londbn, January 30. The bishops have refused to allow clergymen to onlist in the army, on .- legal grounds. Many clergymen are now offering themselves under the national service scheme. The Bishop of Salisbury strongly encourages this.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
