Thomas Lees. —A subscriber to tho war loan cannot withdraw his money before the end of tho period fixed originally. Tho war certificates have a ' period of five years,- their face value being paid to the holder at the end of that time. The holder may sell them in the meantime* if he wishes to do so. "Mother,"—;Tbo change in- tho arrangements in connection with the 22nd Reinforcements was due to causes beyond tho control of the Defenco authorities. Tho men were informed of thp new arrangements as early as possible, and were able to communicate with their next-of-Uin. It is. considered necessary to placo restrictions on the public announcement of intended movements of troops.
