Peter Scott Ramsay, a young man, president of the Anti-Conscription League, who was drawn in the First Ballot, was arrested yesterday and charged at the Court to-day with seditious utterance. He pleaded not gnilty,' and asked for a remand until Thursday also for bail, and to be tried by jury. The Court granted a remand until i'nday, but refused bail. The Magistrate said that he had no jurisdiction as to trial by jury.
