"TEE FOKTUNE-HUNTER." At the Grand Opera House last night another large and appreciative audienco witnessed" the third performance by theRoyal Dramatic Company of this stirring comedy-drama, "Sunday." It is to be. presented for the last time to-night. On Monday night another strong and popular attraction in "The Fortune-Hunter" is to be presented. It met with much success at Dunedin last week, when staged by the Koyal Dramatic and Comedy Company. Mr. Ronald Riley plays the part of tho "money-seeker. Miss Madge Surtees has a congenial part ■as Betty Graham, whilst Mr. Gerald Harcourt is said to he responsible for a fine piece of characterisation as Sam Graham, the old druggist. Miss Margaret Linden will make a first appearance during the present season as Mrs. Lockwood- Mr. Fred. Cooge, Mr. George Hewlett, Mr. Colvillo Dunn, Mr. Harcourt Hare, Mr. C. B. Throsby, and Miss Mildred Carlton are also happily placed in tho cast, in which every individual member is said to contribute to the success achieved in this rollicking ..comedy. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE: Large audiences have been the order at His Majesty's Theatre this week. Tho List two performances of the present popular programme will be given to-day. A sensational item is supplied by the Staigs, who do a .number of tricks on bicycles inside a large steel globe, and conclude by looping-the-loop, which is a specially exciting item. Others on the bill include the Arleys, pole-balancere, the De Bakers, poseurs, and Reg Nowberrv, the boy soprano, as well as a number of other good artiste. THE KING'S THEATRE. ■ A couple of the Triangle's best-known favourites will star in tho leading attraction, commencing at tho matinee at tho King's Theatre to-day. Louise Glaum, the "vampire de luxe," has one of her usual characterisations in a eplen'didly done feature, called "DrawEgan," tho leading man being Wm. S. Hart. The story pictures the conversion of a wild mining town full of desperate characters, into a law-abiding community. The converter being no less than the most notorious bad man in tho country in disguise. There are plenty of thrills and a nice leavening of love .interest. The supporting comedy, "Tho Surf Girl," is said to be very good. THE EMPRESS THEATRE. "La Boheme," the celebrated story of Bohemian life, by Henry Miu-ger, has been picturised by the World Film Company, and Alice Brady as Mimi is declared to bo one of the most notoworthy masterpieces of tho filmic wit. _ Proi duced by Cappelani, whose pictures, I "The Common Law" and "The Feast of Life," have been so successful here lately, "La Boheme" is described as being artistically and dramatically on a level with either of these master pictures, and its presentation at the Empress Theatre, commencing this morning will be further enhanced by the accompanying operatic music on the organ. Miss Brady's recent picture Tangled Fates," endeared her to Empress lneatre audiences, and in "La Boheme she has much greater opportunities. BILLIE BURKE. The long-awaited screen appearance of Billie . Burke, in "Peggy," takes place at' Everybody's Theatre this morning at 10.30. Peggy is an American girl who comes to live with her dour Scotch old uncle Pe"gy'e efforts to put some vim into the life at Dunkirk lead to many thoroughly amusing and exciting situations. There is also a stormy aspect ot the story in the case of the Laird, who is about to drive a poor, disgraced girl from the village, when Peggy startles the committee by proving that the man in the case is the Laird's own son. Wra. Desmond is the minister, W. H. Thompson is the uncle, and the part oi ttie cowardly son is played by Charles Ray. Seats may bo reserved by phone all. TO-NIGHT'S ORGAN RECITAL.'' The city organ recitals will be resumed to-night, after a long- break through the illness of Mr.. Page, and the Town Hall being engaged. The city organist has selected in his programme two new works, one by Moussougsky's "4. Tear" and "Meditation," and Borowski's "First Suite for Organ" (prelude Toccata, Mediation, Elegie, and Marche Solennelle). Tho other works for this recital have been well chosen. Debussy's prelude from "La Demoiselle Blue" and "L'Enfant Prodigue," Beethoven's 1 , overture, "Coriolan,"- .Rimsky-Korsakoffs third movement from "Scheherazade" ("Suite Symphonique" for orchestra), and tho "Pastorale in B Flat" by Cesar Franck., which', in the opinion of Lizst, ranks beside the .masterpieces of Sebastian Bach.
