Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with tho exception of the usual ferry steamers lor southern offices, close at the Chief Poet Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. Tho parcel-post mail por Main Trunk express closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.3(1 a.m., and for the south uer forry steamer at 6.45 p.m. Late letters for mails beyond the Dominion cannot in future be posted on the steamer, but must b« posted in tho lateletter poßtins-box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on the mail notice. The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. ■ As the last clearance of the city receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for tho Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Oilic* not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. All tho principal malls by train and steamer close at Tβ Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no lat*-feo clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Kails for Auckland and Auckland district, por second Main Trunk express, close at Courtenay Place at 6.45 p.m., and Te Aro at 8 p.m. A.
